Determined to acquire the original incense for their temple in Singapore, Hu Rong Qian’s brother sought advice from Qing Shui Zu Shi. Their goal was to enhance the authenticity of their temple by placing the incense in their own furnace. In pursuit of this, they decided to visit the temple in Genting Highlands.

On June 14th, 1979, Singapore Peng Lai Dian was officially established following a journey that began in March of the same year. Two cars set off from Singapore, traveling first to Kuala Lumpur and then to Genting Highlands. Arriving at approximately 5-6 pm, they headed straight to the temple of Qing Shui Zu Shi.

Upon reaching the temple, they discovered that the founder was absent. However, a representative happened to be visiting. Explaining their purpose – representing a temple in Singapore that pays respect to Qing Shui Zu Shi – they requested incense for their furnace. The representative initially declined, stating he couldn’t make such a decision without proof, suggesting they invite Qing Shui Zu Shi.

Faced with this challenge, Hu Rong Qian had no choice but to change into yellow pants he had brought, as the evening temperature dropped. Qing Shui Zu Shi arrived, and Hu Rong Qian’s brother explained their desire to obtain the incense, pleading for it. Qing Shui Zu Shi, to prove their sincerity, ordered the people of Genting Highlands and assured them by using the “Wooden Crescent Moon,” which, when thrown on the floor, stood up straight. Witnessing this, everyone in the temple, including the person in charge and employees, knelt down and pledged to fulfill Hu Rong Qian’s request.

Subsequently, they began the process of packing the incense, having it blessed by their monks, all provided free of charge. In just two days, they successfully brought the sacred incense back to Singapore, enriching the spiritual offerings of their temple.
